It’s tax time and your small contribution can make a world of difference
“I have got the support I need and feel like I am really starting to enjoy my life for the first time.” – Luke, Connections participant
You can support our community mental health program, Connections.
Connections provides one-to-one social support, creates friendship and boosts mental wellness. The Connections program matches people on a mental health recovery journey with a specially trained volunteer who accompanies them as they reconnect with the community.
The program is one of the only adult mental health programs in the ACT that does not require a formal diagnosis or referral. However, this important program is no longer receiving funding from government.
“Being part of the Connections program and seeing my volunteer, Mohammad, has really improved my self-esteem, confidence and perception of the world.”
Volunteering and Contact ACT is a registered charity and all donations are tax deductible. It’s nearly the end of financial year – the perfect time to donate.
