What you need to know
The Volunteer Referral Service
Our volunteer referral service is your one-stop-shop for volunteer recruitment! Underpinned by a national volunteer referral database known as VIKTOR Online, our referral service is your key tool for getting volunteers on board. Every month we see over 400 referrals take place through our referral service. If your organisation needs volunteers what are you waiting for?!
Member organisations are able to advertise volunteering opportunities on the Volunteering and Contact ACT Website. To upload a Volunteering Opportunity please click here to be taken to the VIKTOR Database.
If you do not have a login to the VIKTOR Database please contact us on 6251 4060.
What happens next?
- Prospective volunteers either come in to Volunteering and Contact ACT to discuss volunteering opportunities with one of our Referral Officers, or independently search for positions on our website
- When a volunteer expresses interest in a position they are provided with the details of your position including your organisation’s contact details
- You will receive an email with the volunteer’s contact details.
- It is then up to your organisation to liaise with the potential volunteer and arrange a meeting to discuss their suitability for the volunteering position.
The Skilled Volunteer Profile Database
If you have a VIKTOR login you should also have access to our Skilled Volunteer Profile Database! This is a database full of profiles of skilled individuals who are interested in volunteering for your organisation. Simply search through the profiles, find someone who would be a great fit for your organisation, and pitch a volunteering position directly to them
